Why a Step Motor of Mini CNC Router become Heated?
When we use a mini CNC router such CNC 3040,CNC 6040 or CNC 6090,HY-6040 we find the machines are working very well, but after a little long time, the step motors become heated.
Why like this and  what should we do?

Generally speaking,a heated step motor are caused by below:

1. The setting current of the Drive is much larger then the rated current of the motor.

2. The Motor Speed is too fast.

3.Because of the inertia and holding torque of the motor itself, even if the medium-speed operation, the step motor will become heated, which will not affect the motor life.

And also, the demagnetization point of step motor is between 130℃ and 200 ℃, so it is normal if the motor temperature is between 70℃ and 90 ℃.

If you really feel the overheating, set the drive current to 70% of the motor rated current or reduce the speed of the motor, and you can also turn off the power for next using.
